Welcome to Q&A Wednesday and thanks for your question. EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing now and runs until November 23, 2019. There are so many great dishes to try from all around the world. Using your dining plan for Food & Wine is a great idea.
You can indeed pay for 3 items using 1 quick-service credit but there are special rules for this. In order to do it, all 3 credits MUST be used at the same location. If choosing to use them at The Cheese Studio, for instance, all three must be used at that booth. You will simply go up to the booth, order the 3 snack items you want from that ONE booth and tell them you want to use a quick-service credit to pay for them. Be sure to tell them, otherwise they will charge 3 snack credits from your allotment.
Also, please know that by forfeiting your quick- service credit, you are also forfeiting the alcoholic or specialty beverage that normally accompanies the quick-service meal. The beverage can only be enjoyed during a quick-service meal and can’t be banked for later use. Since you wouldn’t be able to use it at the booths, this may be a consideration to certain guests.
Keep in mind that you can do this when buying snacks anytime, not just during Food & Wine. For me, though, there are only two occasions when it’s worth the switch: during Food & Wine or if you have a leftover quick-service credit at the end of your trip and want to grab packaged snacks to take home.
I hope this helps. If you would like help planning a visit to EPCOT’s International Food & Wine or any other celebration at Walt Disney World, contact me anytime at Brenda@pixievacations.com.
