February Recap and Fave 5

February was a busy month but it was a good one. Any month that includes a trip to a Disney destination is awesome!! I traveled with my daughter, my BFF and my daughter’s BFF and we had such a great time! I love being “back home.”

This month I did pretty well towards acheiving my goals from my February Tending List. The list included mostly relationship-building priorities. I was able to accomplish some of them, but not all. Here’s a look at how I did:

Monthly Action Items

I hosted a Superbowl gathering at my home. It was just a family potluck but we had a great time and I loved seeing everyone. That week, I also mailed out Valentines to my 4 precious valentines before leaving for my trip.

This month was my big sister’s birthday. I love her so much and I cherish the time we spend together. Thankfully, my mom, my sister and I went to visit Pam for her birthday and it was such a treat for all of us.

I didn’t get to have a We Craft night with Aleyah and McKinley. My son and daughter-in-law are preparing to sell their home. As a result, they have been really busy so they haven’t actually been able to plan a date night.

My hubby and I managed to have a date night this month. We had dinner at Cheddar’s and went to the movies. We watched Bad Boys for Life, which was hilarious but quite violent. I was glad we had some time out together.

As far as financial goals, I planned my February budget and pretty much stuck with it. In addition to that, I decluttered a cabinet in my closet which is something I have been trying to make time for. I have some things to sell or donate. Now I need to decide whether or not to participate in a community-wide garage sale.

Weekly Action Items

I tried to post positive messages on Facebook and Instagram.  In alignment with my goals of consuming positive things and reading more, I found a great new book and a new podcast this month. The book I read was, “When Less Becomes More,” by Emily Ley. The new podcast I found is “Finding Fred,” a podcast about Mr. Fred Rogers and the gift he was to this world.

I started the month off well with my phone-free baths right before bedtime. This is really relaxing and a great chance to read. Of course, I didn’t keep them up during my trip and never got back into the swing when I got back home. I really enjoy them, though, so I am hoping to begin this activity again real soon.

Lent started on Wednesday, February 26, and I celebrate Lent. This year, I gave up sweets. Fat Tuesday was just that, in preparation of my sweet fast as sweets are a necessity in my life second only to the air I breathe. Wish me luck!

I checked in with my awesome guests regarding their upcoming travel. Their excitement always gives me renewed energy in doing what I do. I am so very thankful for each and every one of them!

I have managed to stay on task with my Weekly Reset each week this month. This keeps me organized — and that gives me peace.

Daily Action Items

I am thankful that I have been able to have my morning quiet time each morning. Spending time with my bible, devotional and gratitude journal starts my days off right. I have also tried to be encouraging to others around me as we are all going through something, right?

I have not yet developed the habit of flossing every night. This needs to be more of a priority for sure.

Coming Up

After completing my March Tending List, I realized that nearly the entire thing focuses on relationships and my job. I will need to concentrate on these two areas for next month.

Business-wise, I am thinking I have some “growing” coming up. The main reason that I took my daughter to Walt Disney World this month was for her to experience the things she has missed in the last several years. I am hoping to turn over my social media to her. She has a big idea that I need to do Facebook LIVE. She is trying to convince me to do one in March as a “Getting to know your travel agent” live event. I am scared to death. We’ll see!

February Favorites

Here are my Fave 5 things for the month of February. Most of these have to do with Disney. As you might imagine, they are still in the forefront of my mind.

Rise of the Resistance

I was totally impressed with the latest ride to open at Walt Disney World! There are so many fun phases to Rise of the Resistance. I can’t wait until you can experience it for yourself.

Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom

This 3-hour nighttime event at the Magic Kingdom was so much fun. It was well worth the price and I plan to incorporate it into my trips whenever it is offered in the future.

Carrot Cake Cookie

It’s nice to know that my favorite snack at Disney hasn’t changed. For years, the Carrot Cake Cookie has been at the top of my list.

“When Less Becomes More,” by Emily Ley

This book really resonated with me. As a wife, mom, Mimi and very busy travel agent so much of this book touches on many feelings I deal with constantly. I have a feeling I will be reading it again and again.

My Erin Condren Lifeplanner

I honestly don’t know what I would do without my planner. This book is my lifeline. It keeps me on track, I never miss a commitment or any needs of my guests. I love it!

That’s it for my monthly recap for the month of February. I would love to know what’s been going on with you this month so please share in the comments below. Thanks in advance.

Wishing you many blessings throughout the days of March!
