Are You Embracing Your Chaos? Don’t Throw Trip-Planning Into the Mix!

embracing the chaos, trip planning

School started for most in my area this week. All the posts I saw about prepping for the big day – school clothes shopping, school supply shopping, new hairstyles, etc. got me to thinking about just how tremendously stressful my life was when my kids were little. That’s not even to mention being connected to little electronic devices all day long everyday or the way Pinterest makes many of us feel like epic fails. From meal planning to grocery shopping to cooking, housecleaning, endless loads of laundry, helping with homework, running all over God’s creation for extracurricular activities and cheering the kids on at their sports games. Oh my goodness, life was exhausting! That’s not even to mention working full-time and trying to raise 3 kids to be the best people they could be (and I am very proud of each and every one of them). It’s really hard!

I can definitely sympathize with all the moms and dads trying to pull it off! Nowadays, I help as much as I can with keeping my granddaughters, offering to wash laundry, and trying to help anyone who is drowning in it all! So tell me, are you embracing your chaos?

Even if you feel like you have a good handle on all of it, for goodness sake, do you need even one more thing to do? Do you really want to research every aspect of your trip, wake up at 5:00 AM to book your dining reservations or 6:00 AM to book your fast passes before your overly busy day starts? If you don’t get what you wanted, do you really want to chase those reservations everyday for months on end? It really is not necessary. I.PROMISE! Ask my kids.

My children are grown now with children of their own. My oldest son was born in 1985. Many of my travel families are around the same ages as my kids and grandkids. I want to help create magic for my kids and grandkids on their annual vacations. The fact that they can escape the chaos and really enjoy time together is a precious thing! I feel the same way about my travel families. Do I care just as much about their trips as they do? Do I care about your trip just as much as you do? You bet I do!!

I want to handle anything and everything my guests want me to handle in order to make it as easy as possible for them. I want to take the stress off of them and let them fight the good fight everyday while having something awesome and fantastic to which to look forward. I want to be the one looking out for any ways to save them money so they have more to spend on extra special stuff. I want to support them in their efforts of doing the very best they can by their families. I want them to enjoy the journey! I am happy to be their fairy grandmother! I am happy to be yours too! How can I help you make your vacation dreams come true?
